Alarm Alert was founded to fill a void in the Monitored Home Security System industry.
Up until now, there have been two kinds of Home Security companies, those that sold entry detection
equipment, and would monitor your system as a secondary business, and those companies that sold
contract monitoring, and considered the actual home security system to be of secondary importance.
The advantage of the equipment companies was the focus on installing complete, state of the art, home
security systems. The disadvantage is the cost of these systems, which typically run into the thousands
of dollars.
Enter the contract monitoring companies whose revenues are based on monitoring revenues and offer
discounted equipment packages as an incentive for customers to sign up for monitoring. The
advantage of these monitoring companies is the much lower equipment cost. The disadvantage are the
total lack of interest of these companies in providing anything more than a very basic system, leaving
most homes highly exposed to continued risk of security violations.
At Alarm Alert, we believe that if you have to pay the full cost of monitoring, you shouldn't have half a
security system.
